Born in England, Bob studied photography at Birmingham College of Art. His career began as a commercial photographer in 1966. He set up a studio in London in the late 60's and began traveling extensively as a fashion photographer for Vogue, Harpers as well as clients such as Armani, Cerruti, Christian Dior, Jaeger, Levis, Pringle, Aquascutum and Boss. Magazines regularly retained him as a portrait photographer for celebrities including Led Zeppelin, Ringo Starr, Jack Nicklaus, James Darren, Tele Savalas and numerous others.

In the late 1970's he started his own Glossy Fashion Magazines, Preview, View and Camouflage. These were published and distributed worldwide through the mid 80's. It was during this period that Bob discovered Martha's Vineyard when he came to do a spread of American fashion icons, Ralph Lauren, Calvin Klein, Perry Ellis and Alexander Julian.

Shortly thereafter he moved to the Vineyard and continues to travel the globe on assignments. His work in America includes album covers for Carly Simon, Hall and Oats to name but a few.

In the late 1990's he opened Edgewater Studios and Little River Studios both in Miami. Bob uses them for some of his commercial work and additionally they provide a multitude of fabulous sets for photo teams who come to Miami Beach from around the world.

Since 2001 Bob has been photographing an ecletic mix of house and interiors on the Cape and Islands.

Commissioned by many architects and interior designers such as Mark Hutker and Associates, Jo Dick, Twanette Tharp and Sullivan O'Conner, Sam Sherman and Associates,Kathryn Tate Interiors and Rentschler & Company Interiors, Slifer Designs.

Started a glossy World Wide Fashion Magazines called Preview , View and Camouflage.

1984

Closed magazine Worked on Fashion Assignments around the world.

1986

Took up permanent residence in the Martha's Vineyard.

1988

Commutes to various locations around the world for photo sessions, including six albums for Carly Simon.

1996

First exhibition of private work.

1999

Opened Edgewater Studios in Miami, a photographer's Disney World. 

2001

Opened Little River Studios in Miami
